Custom Software

Software shaped around your business, not the other way round.

Internal tools, portals and workflow platforms for teams that have outgrown spreadsheets, disconnected tools and off-the-shelf software that almost fits.

The problem

Off-the-shelf software is built for the average of a category. The further your business is from that average, the more of your team's day goes into workarounds.

Those workarounds are invisible until you count them: the spreadsheet beside the system of record, the naming convention everyone has to remember, the step that only works if you do it in the right order.

This is probably you if

  • Your process lives partly in a tool and partly in tribal knowledge
  • Onboarding a new hire means teaching them the workarounds
  • You are paying for seats on three tools that each do a third of the job
  • The thing that makes you better than competitors is the thing your software cannot represent

What we build

  • Internal tools and portals

The operational surfaces your team lives in all day, built to match how the work actually flows rather than how a generic vendor imagined it.

  • Workflow platforms

Multi-step, multi-role processes with state, permissions and an audit trail, replacing the spreadsheet-plus-email version.

  • Custom CRM and ERP

Where the standard product cannot represent your model. Built around your objects and your stages, integrated with what you keep.

  • Client-facing applications

Portals, ordering systems and self-service surfaces that let customers do for themselves what your team currently does for them.

Typical engagements

  • A direct ordering platform that keeps the customer relationship in-house
  • A multi-location operations portal replacing per-site spreadsheets
  • A quoting tool that encodes pricing rules rather than relying on memory
  • A client portal that removes the status-update email entirely

Industries we do this in

  • Healthcare
  • Retail and hospitality
  • Professional services
  • Education

Questions we get

Is custom software not more expensive than buying?
Sometimes, and when it is we will say so. The comparison that matters is against the fully loaded cost of the workarounds, the extra seats and the work your current tools stop you doing.
What happens if we want to take it in-house later?
You own the code and the infrastructure from day one. We document accordingly, because a handover you cannot execute is not really ownership.
How long before we see something working?
You should be using a real slice of it inside the first phase, not reviewing designs for months. Working software surfaces the requirements nobody remembered to mention.

Tell us what is slowing you down.

A short call, no deck. If we are not the right people for it we will say so and point you at who is.
